Almost all Speech and Language Therapy services have moved online, but some children are not able to access online support. This could be for a range of different reasons such as age, attention, and type of need.
For children that are still learning the building blocks of communication (such as attention, listening, play and interaction) the most successful approach is working with parents and care givers to enable them to support their child.
Working together we can identify things that you can build into your days and weeks to support your child’s communication to develop. This is likely to be a mixture of play based and more structured activities as well as ways to support across everyday things such as getting dressed, lunch time or having a bath. Crucially any plan will be specific to you and your child.
